Imperial Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1276
 
Installation meeting 5th December at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool.
The meeting was attended by WBro. Michael Jeremy Pinckard PJGD Assistant PGM. He was accompanied by WBro. James Rashid and WBro. John Askew both ProvAGDC’s.
The WM, WBro. Andrew Stansfield opened the Lodge at 6pm. 21 Brethren were present; members and visitors. 3 Grand Officers were present.
WBro. Pinckard entered the Lodge and the WM welcomed him to the meeting.
 
The WM announced the next business on the summons which was to install WBro. Clive Gitsham PProvGInspWks as WM for the ensuing year. His third time as WM of Imperial Mark.
For the purpose of the ceremony:
WBro. John Brumfield acted as SW
WBro. Alan Barnes acted as JW
WBro. Roger Stansfield acted as IG
WBro. Peter Weller PGStdBr presented WBro. Gitsham to the WM for installation.
WBro. Stansfield installed WBro. Gitsham in fine form and then presented the working tools.
 
WBro. Craig Scott ProvGStwd presented the WM with the keystone jewel.
The WM appointed and invested his officers, although a number could not be present on the night and will be invested at a future meeting.
The addresses were given by:
  • WBro. Tony Cross to the WM
  • VWBro. John Forster to the Wardens
  • WBro. James Rashid to the Overseers
  • WBro. Mike Pinckard to the Brethren
WBro. Pinckard congratulated the WM and all the Brethren of the Lodge on behalf of the RWPGM and hoped they had a good and busy year.
The meeting was closed and everybody adjourned to the bar area for drinks and onto the festive board.
In his response to the toast to his health WBro. Pinckard outlined the need for recruitment.
The WM presented WBro. Pinckard with a cheque for £500 for the West Lancs Masonic Charity and for use in running costs for the blood bikes.
Lively discussion and a friendly atmosphere accompanied a very nice festive board, which was moved along efficiently by WBro.’s Rashid and Askew.
WBro. Chris Sage ran a Fylde fiddle and raised £140 for Charity.
At the end of the evening the WM presented the AsstPGM with a bottle of fine Scotch.
A good night was had by all!
